Vice President, Global Corporate Controller - Finance -- Remote | WFH

Summary

As the VP, Global Controller, reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead the monthly global close and consolidation for all company entities. This pivotal role ensures the completeness, accuracy, and timeliness of the monthly financial processes, aligning with both US GAAP and local statutory requirements. The ideal candidate brings a blend of public accounting and corporate accounting experience, along with a track record of leading global teams, implementing financial systems, and driving significant process improvements to support our expanding business.

This leadership position contributes strategically to the company's success by ensuring accurate and consistent financial information across our global organization. Through innovative processes and technologies, you will optimize the efficiency of global finance operations while providing actionable insights to influence decision-making and performance.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain an effective global financial reporting framework adhering to US GAAP.
  • Coordinate a highly efficient global month-end closing and reporting process.
  • Collaborate with FP&A to provide transparent financial reporting for management and statutory purposes.
  • Analyze financial and operational results, investigating significant variances, and communicate findings to senior management.
  • Develop and maintain a global internal control framework for financial reporting.
  • Manage the annual audit process in coordination with internal and external teams.
  • Oversee the company's tax compliance and tax planning functions.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing financial systems and processes for efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Drive the implementation of technology solutions to streamline financial operations and reporting.
  • Provide value-added financial analysis and support for major company initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally on business reviews and decisions from a financial perspective.

Education And Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field required.
  • Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) credential required.
  • Minimum of 15 years in a global accounting function, with at least 5 years as a global corporate controller in a multinational organization.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and experience with ERP systems.
  • Experience driving transformation and efficiency in controls and accounting systems.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proactive, strategic thinking, and planning.
  • International experience required.

Language Ability

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Math Ability

  • Advanced mathematical analysis skills.

Reasoning Ability

  • Excellent analytical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.

Computer Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Oversight of Local Controllers and Finance Directors.
