Vice President, General Counsel

Our client, a leading health care services and software company and the largest GPO in the US, has retained The PeterSan Group to identify qualified candidates to serve as General Counsel, reporting to the CEO and overseeing the legal department and compliance function.

Applicants must have the following qualifications in order to be considered:

-At least 15 years of progressively responsible legal, managerial and leadership experience, ideally in both private practice and in-house roles.

-Having a deep understanding of the complex and evolving legal and regulatory issues facing healthcare companies.

-Demonstrated ability to manage a legal team and oversee the provision of legal services in-house

-Experience in advising clients in the healthcare industry, specifically in one or more of the following areas: pharmaceutical manufacture, drug distribution, managed market reimbursement programs, pharmacy benefit management.

-Experience in providing advice regarding compliance with AKS, HIPAA and Antitrust

-Experience in corporate governance, merger and acquisition transactions and business integration.
