ABOUT THE ROLE

VP, Finance leads the Finance Team under the CFO. Tribeca’s business encompasses the production of live events including the world-renowned Tribeca Festival, the award-winning original content studio, Tribeca Studios, and its newly acquired production studio, m ss ng p eces. VP, Finance will report to the CFO and work with internal teams as well as external clients to ensure that accurate, timely, and meaningful financial data is available to management to make informed business decisions pertaining to all branches of the Tribeca Enterprises brand.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Preparation of monthly consolidated financials and oversight of supporting schedules, including detailed variance analysis against the budget, commission expense calculation, interest expense calculation, depreciation and goodwill expense calculations, and various monthly accruals.
  • Reviewing and posting of journal entries across all entities
  • Cash management oversight of Tribeca payables/receivables and projections of monthly/weekly cash balances based on revenue and expense commitments.
  • Oversight of annual audit.
  • Tracking revenue and expenses across all business segments, including Festival, year-round events, gaming and immersive, and distribution.
  • Preparation of quarterly royalty calculations and filmmaker accounting statements, as well as oversight of monthly royalty accruals and analysis and update of distribution projections.
  • Weekly pipeline update and year-over-year comparison.
  • Oversight of m ss ng p eces A/R.
  • Ensuring that solid internal controls are being practiced.


REQUIREMENTS

  • 8-10 years of experience in finance & accounting.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
  • Experience with the Association of Independent Commercial Producers and production accounting preferred
  • Experience in month-end closing and preparing financial statements.
  • Technically proficient in Microsoft Office Products.
  • Ability to transition smoothly between multiple responsibilities and projects with ease and composure.


Compensation $130,000-$170,000
