THE OPPORTUNITY


The Canaveral Port Authority is seeking a dynamic, experienced leader for the newly created role of Vice President, Facilities Optimization. Primary responsibilities will include ensuring preventive, predictive, and emergency maintenance of all port facilities and equipment in a safe and timely manner while working collaboratively with operations to ensure availability is optimized. Reporting directly to Chief Executive Officer, the Vice President, Facilities Optimization will be a key member of the executive leadership team contributing to the ongoing success and growth of Port Canaveral’s operations.



THE POSITION


The Vice President, Facilities Optimization serves as a visible leader overseeing a large and diversified maintenance program encompassing facilities and technical systems services for Port Canaveral. The Vice President assumes overall responsibility for directing technical trades services and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation and maintenance of all CPA facilities and systems, which include automated port systems and equipment, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC systems, boarding bridges, security/access control, fire detection and protection, building, grounds, and fleet maintenance. Additionally, the Vice President provides input, consults, and collaborates with leaders in other port divisions including Administration, Finance, Engineering & Construction, Operations, and Security, as well as interacts with external representatives such as federal, state, and local regulatory agencies, tenants, suppliers, and consultants to accomplish established department goals and objectives.
