Job Description

This position is responsible to plan, oversee, organize and direct the College’s enrollment management and student services programs and activities; to ensure that assigned functions fulfill the College’s strategic plan and goals and objectives; to supervise assigned staff; and to provide highly complex and responsible staff assistance to the College’s President.

Essential Job Functions

  • Unify and oversee admissions, recruitment, testing and placement, registration, financial aid, academic advising, counseling, career placement, grant programs, student life, enrollment center, student success center and programs to support diverse student populations, with a focus on successful student outcomes in terms of program selection, retention, graduation, job placement and transfer success for credit students.
  • Foster a community of collaboration that focuses on student success and retention through programs to support diverse student populations, developing and evaluating a faculty advising system, ensuring quality co-curricular programming, leadership development, community service and civic engagement, and other retention initiatives.
  • Provide leadership for the intercollegiate athletics program as a recruitment and retention tool. Promote student engagement, ensure academic success and completion of student athletes, and integrate athletics into all aspects of student life and the College experience.
  • Develop a culture of assessment, student centeredness and continuous improvement within the division.
  • Assist with the development and execution of differentiated marketing strategies for prospective student audiences.
  • Ensure the ERP (Anthology) for the college and the areas under direct supervision fully utilize this system and other technologies to create and maintain efficiencies, streamline processes and utilize human and time resources appropriately.
  • Ensure the ancillary software systems that support student recruitment and success empowering students and employees and that KPI’s are in place and measured that align with the college’s strategic plan.
  • Develop, maintain, and implement the strategic long range plan for all assigned areas; monitor key performance indicators ( KPI ).
  • Direct and coordinate preparation of annual goals and objectives; monitor progress and prepare annual summary report for all assigned areas.
  • Coordinate, prepare, recommend and monitor annual operating and capital budgets for areas of functional responsibility.
  • Ensure appropriateness of systems to support compliance functions and monitor compliance with local, state and federal regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Review, develop, maintain and administer Board of Trustees approved policies for the assigned areas.
  • Promote collaboration, partnerships, and professional relationships with business, community organizations, and education and government entities. Ensure that the College is considered a provider of choice with respect to these entities.
  • Hire, mentor, and supervise direct reports; complete annual performance evaluations.
  • Develop and recommend operating and staffing budgets; monitor budgets to remain within established fiscal variances; oversee reporting procedures and accounting processes.
  • Perform job duties in accordance with College policies and procedures; adhere to bargaining unit agreements as applicable.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or D.Ed.) preferred
  • 10 years of senior-level administrative experience required
  • Experience in student success and engagement and/or enrollment management in a higher education environment required
  • Budget management experience required
  • Supervisory experience required; experience supervising employees under labor contracts preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or D.Ed.) preferred
  • Experience supervising employees under labor contracts preferred

Salary $131,950
