Vice President, Employer Sales - SaaS

The Vice President, Employer Sales, will play a pivotal role in MedeAnalytics' go-to-market team, significantly contributing to our strategic growth plans to establish and grow MedeAnalytics' Employer/Benefits Broker business. This candidate will be expected to develop meaningful and productive relationships with both internal colleagues and a wide array of leaders across the employer and benefits broker market. The individual must be a highly motivated, experienced healthcare IT sales professional with the proven ability to consult, solve and sell SaaS technology & capabilities directly to employers and through benefits brokers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Use consultative selling techniques in conjunction with a strong understanding of market drivers and technology to construct, present and sell innovative capability-based (vs. product-based) deals
  • Carry and exceed a multi-million-dollar annual sales quota
  • Develop and manage territory plans and pipeline development strategies to meet or exceed quarterly and annual quotas
  • Use existing contacts, LinkedIn, search engines and other external data sources to identify and connect with decision-makers, buyers and key stakeholders at targeted prospects
  • Proactive and persistent outreach via phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels to develop qualified leads and, in turn, opportunities across prospects
  • Successfully navigate complex buying processes (including RFP responses), negotiate and close contracts
  • Work directly with the MedeAnalytics Product and Marketing teams to bring new solutions and capabilities to market

Education, Experience, and Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in consultative selling of SaaS-based technology & capabilities to the Employer & Benefits Broker marketplace
  • Strong domain expertise in areas such as employee benefits, employee benefits management, benefit analytics, etc.
  • Strong understanding of technology such as data activation, data fabric, public cloud, interoperability, etc.
  • Experience working with data and visualization/analytics solutions (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a significant plus
  • Ability to consult on and then construct innovative capability-based (vs. product-based) deals
  • Track record of exceeding a multi-million-dollar annual sales quota
  • Demonstrated sales track record in highly competitive environments with the ability to identify and prospect new logo opportunities, successfully navigate complex buying processes (including RFP responses), negotiate and close contracts
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, MBA preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High motivation, a desire to win, and a desire to work for a winning organization

Additional Information:

MedeAnalytics believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $195-230K + Commission Opportunities USD. Please note that actual compensations for all roles may vary within the range or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, relevant work experience, professional achievements/qualifications, skill level, business need, location and will be finalized at the time of offer.
