Job Summary:

  • The Vice President, Employee and Leadership Training is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training and development programs that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall organizational effectiveness. This role focuses on fostering a culture of continuous learning and development, driving performance improvement, and supporting the strategic goals of the company.


Essential Functions and Tasks:

Strategic Planning:

  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for the company’s training and development initiatives.
  • Align training programs with organizational goals and business strategies.

Program Development and Management:

  • Design and implement training programs for employees at all levels, including onboarding, technical skills, soft skills, compliance, and leadership development.
  • Evaluate and improve existing training programs to ensure they meet evolving organizational needs.
  • Partner with department heads to identify training needs and create customized solutions.

Leadership Development:

  • Create and lead programs aimed at developing current and future leaders within the organization.
  • Implement succession planning strategies to ensure a pipeline of qualified leaders.

Performance Improvement:

  • Develop performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Utilize data to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions to enhance training outcomes.

Budget and Resource Management:

  • Oversee the training and development budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
  • Select and manage relationships with external training vendors and consultants.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and mentor a team of training and development professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative team environment.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Work closely with senior leadership to promote a culture of learning and development.
  • Communicate the value and impact of training programs to stakeholders at all levels.

Compliance and Standards:

  • Ensure all training programs comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and best practices in training and development.


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in training and development, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing successful training programs.
  • Experience with leadership development and succession planning.

  • Basic use of computer, telephone, internet, copier, fax, and scanner.
  • Basic touch 10 key skills.
  • Basic Math skills.

  • Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel (pivot tables), and database software skills.
