Vice President, EHR Solutions


The Vice President of EHR Solutions is instrumental in driving the organization's digital transformation, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and compliant healthcare solutions. The Vice President, of EHR Solutions, will be responsible for overseeing solutions in the post-live space, including new practice acquisition, community connect, M&A integration, new module rollouts, and other related areas. This role will oversee the daily operations of the EHR Solutions by leading the practice structure, partnerships, processes, services, and workflows to ensure the efficiency, effectiveness, and profitability of the practice. This leadership position demands a deep understanding of Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems including vendor methodologies and build and configuration strategies, coupled with a strategic vision to enhance and optimize solutions in a dynamic healthcare environment.

The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Develop and articulate a comprehensive vision for the organization's EHR and healthcare solutions, aligning it with overall business goals and objectives.

· Collaborate with executive leadership to integrate EHR strategies into the broader organizational strategy.

· Lead the planning, execution, and optimization of EHR implementations, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and workflows.

· Drive the development and implementation of comprehensive EHR solutions for pre- and post-live scenarios, such as new practice acquisitions, community connect initiatives, and M&A integration to generate organizational revenue.

· Serve as an expert on Epic and other EHR platforms, staying abreast of updates, functionalities, and industry trends.

· Understand EHR system compliance standards with all relevant healthcare regulations, including HIPAA, and other pertinent standards.

· Establish and maintain compliance framework, working closely with legal and regulatory affairs teams.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective utilization and optimization of EHR systems.

· Oversee the pre and post-live space, ensuring seamless integration of EHR solutions in various contexts, including implementations, new practice acquisitions, and community connect projects.

· Develop and execute strategies for successful M&A integration, focusing on interoperability and system alignment.

· Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, sales, and operational teams, to gather requirements and ensure the alignment of EHR solutions with organizational needs.

· Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of EHR solutions.

· Develop and manage budgets for EHR projects, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource utilization.

· Monitor financial performance against established goals and make data-driven decisions to optimize resources.

· Manage a team, including hiring, performance management, coaching, disciplinary action, and terminations, as well as provide educational resources, training, and guidance to the EHR Solutions team.

· Implement continuous improvement and optimization initiatives to enhance the quality and functionality of EHR systems.

· Identify and mitigate risks associated with EHR implementations, data security, and system performance.

· Develop and implement robust contingency plans to address potential challenges.




Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Information Systems, Business Administration, Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred)

· Minimum 5 years’ experience with the success of EHR solutions.

· Proven knowledge of Epic EHR platforms, integrations, and methodologies; able to provide a strategy for carrying out the required modifications and adjustments to the current systems.

· Strong understanding of healthcare industry trends, especially in the context of new post-implementation trends, practice acquisitions, community connect, and M&A integration.

· Experience leading and developing a high-performing management team.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

· Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, environment.

· Epic Certification(s), preferred.
