JOB SUMMARY: The Vice President, Data & Analytics Lead - Lending is responsible for the development and implementation of solutions to support the collection, analysis, and interpretation of data related to the bank’s loans to inform strategic and operational business decisions.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a comprehensive data and analytics strategy that aligns with the bank's lending business goals and objectives
Oversee developing and implementing data-driven solutions to support lending operations, risk management, and finance and accounting
Collaborate with data owners to identify key performance indicators and metrics that drive business growth and inform decision-making
Own the roadmap for delivering content to the enterprise and lending teams via enterprise data lakes, data warehouses, data pipelines, and BI tools
Communicate insights and recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders clearly and concisely
Develop and manage data collection and storage processes, ensuring data quality and accuracy
Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement in data and analytics capabilities
Perform other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise assigned employees by organizing and monitoring work progress
Maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
Manage performance of employees through development, coaching, and counseling
QUALIFICATIONS:
10+ years of experience in data and analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Bachelor's or Master's degree in data science, statistics, computer science, or a related field
Experience in the financial services industry, preferably in a banking or lending environment
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data into actionable insights
Experience working with large datasets and understanding of data architecture principles
Familiarity with data visualization tools, such as Tableau or PowerBI
Experience working the DBT and Snowflake preferred
Strong technical skills in data analysis, statistics, and modeling, as well as experience with programming languages such as Python, R, or SQL.
Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams of data analysts and scientists.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge of data governance principles and regulatory requirements in the banking sector
The pay range for this position is below. The specific rate will depend on the successful candidate’s qualifications and prior experience. $150,000 (entry level qualifications) to $180,000 (highly experienced).
