Job Description

The Vice President of Clinical Excellence (VPCE) will report to the COO and be a member of Ivy’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT). The successful candidate will directly engage and interact with Ivy's Executive Leaders and Board Members while providing enterprise-wide leadership and contribution. Key responsibilities include leading and overseeing all of Ivy Rehab’s clinical offerings including all specialty programs, clinical education, student programs, support in the delivery of best in class outcomes and academic research, industry presentation and leadership, clinical innovation, and representation of Ivy’s clinical offerings to both internal and external stakeholders, positioning Ivy as an established clinical leader across the PT/OT/ST industries.

The VPCE supports the development and implementation of tools and training curriculum and implements policies and procedures to drive forward a culture of clinical excellence in delivering the highest quality outpatient rehabilitation services across the Ivy Rehab Network. The job responsibilities of this role will evolve over time as the company continues to grow. 

This role will require high integrity leadership, informative critical thinking, exceptional written and oral communication skills, analytical skills and the ability to lead processes from origination to execution at scale across Ivy’s growing network of 560+ outpatient facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the pursuit of clinical excellence for the organization through education, communication of expectations, and continuous improvement of clinical credibility:
  • Direct internal and external educational programs through Ivy University
  • Manage and administer the “Clinical Career Ladder” for development of Ivy’s clinical teammates
  • Facilitate sharing of internal talent and create high quality professional development program
  • Obtain CEU approval for education in multiple states
  • Grow clinician pathways to certification and specialization
  • Residency program oversite
  • Relationships with Hospital for Special Surgery
  • Development and rollout of additional clinical programs to meet market demand
  • Facilitate clinical communication between Regional/Area Directors, Clinic Directors and clinicians with newsletters, announcements, clinician surveys, etc.
  • Support clinical outcomes and work in conjunction with payor contracting to develop innovative clinical models for payor and strategic partner collaboration
  • Work with new Ivy partners on Clinical Integration
  • Lead integration of Ivy’s clinical programs into acquired sites
  • Serve as the principal clinical point person to advise on sales and marketing programs

Qualifications

  • A Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or MD degree & licensure from an accredited program is required
  • A minimum of five (5) years of clinical leadership experience, preferably in an outpatient orthopedic setting
  • Proven analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Highly skilled in diplomacy, influencing and collaborating in decision making process across all levels of the organization
  • Ownership/results/accountability-oriented, able to overcome obstacles
  • Expert project management skills, and advanced skill level in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude 
  • Self-motivated with the willingness and commitment to exceed expectations, learn and professionally grow
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills including Power Point expertise
  • Outstanding time management skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and assignments in a changing environment with competing projects
  • Preferably reside on the East Coast, Mid-Atlantic or Midwest with accessibility to major transportation
