A NauWork client is seeking a Vice President of Business Development to join their team. This position is fully remote.

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Vice President of Business Development to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving the company’s expansion strategy, with a primary focus on acquiring new clients and generating revenue. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses a proven track record of success in business development and sales.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains management and professional-level staff in the department.
  • Oversees the schedules and responsibilities of management staff in the department.
  • Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to drive revenue growth and expansion in line with company objectives.
  • Identify and cultivate new business opportunities, leveraging market insights, industry trends, and competitive intelligence.
  • Lead the end-to-end sales process, from prospecting and lead generation to negotiation and contract closure, ensuring alignment with client needs and company capabilities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry influencers, to drive business growth and foster collaboration.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and operations, to support client acquisition efforts and deliver integrated solutions.
  • Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the business development team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, market trends, and customer feedback to identify areas for optimization and refinement.
  • Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging technologies, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making and maintain a competitive edge.


Hard Skills:

  • Minimum of 20 years of proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles, with a demonstrated track record of success in driving revenue growth and client acquisition.
  • Deep understanding of the [industry or sector] landscape, market dynamics, and customer needs, with the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve results in a matrix organization.
  • High-level understanding of modern technical concepts and product development life cycles.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels.

  • Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant business tools and technologies.
