Vice President, ICR Strategic ESG & Shareholder Advisory


ICR Strategic ESG and Shareholder Advisory, a specialist consultancy group that provides end-to-end environmental, social, and governance (ESG) solutions and strategic shareholder services, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Vice President to join our team.


The role will directly contribute to and execute on client deliverables and engagements in a fast-paced and fluid environment centered around ESG and sustainability strategy and reporting. The projects entail advising clients on the development, implementation, and disclosures of their strategic ESG and corporate governance practices and programs.


The primary responsibilities include:


  • Conduct in-depth research and assessments, including peer benchmarking and gap analyses, on ESG-related issues, risks, opportunities, policies, programs, and key performance indicators across various industries.
  • Coordinate and liaise with client subject matter experts to acquire relevant information on ESG and sustainability matters.
  • Manage collection, validation, calculation, and aggregation of data.
  • Develop report outlines, write, and edit ESG report content based on the data acquisition, research, and client interviews.
  • Produce client-ready deliverables, such as sustainability/ESG reports, materiality assessments, presentations, and excerpts for SEC filings.
  • Manage and support day-to-day client engagements, including the development and management of timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and strategic partners on shared projects and client relationships.
  • Monitor and research relevant industry developments, frameworks, and best practices to incorporate into client deliverables and service offerings.
  • Assist in business development efforts such as preparing pitch decks, marketing materials, client proposals, and budgets.
  • Be a subject matter expert on sustainability and ESG-related topics.


Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum 4-8 years of relevant ESG experience, client-facing roles within ESG consulting preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG rating agency methodologies and experience in applying ESG frameworks such as TCFD, SASB, and GRI across various business sectors.
  • Strong project management experience, including planning, coordinating, and overseeing multiple concurrent projects with diverse businesses and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to execute projects for clients with minimal supervision.
