Newrest IAH is looking for a Vehicle Inspector that will report to the Fleet Management team in Houston Texas. This position requires a lot of multi-tasking and coordination in a loud environment. The individual will need to be available to work a flexible schedule.
Essential Responsibilities
Oversee the integrity of vehicle inspections (pre-check /post-check)
Ensure all vehicles are functioning properly before been released to the users.
Perform vehicle inspection when the vehicle is returned by the user.
Check vehicle cabins and cargo boxes to ensure are clean of trash and debris.
Maintain parking lot clean and organized.
Perform lubrication of guardrails, inspect loading ramps, cargo straps and tire chocks and fire extinguishers
Relieve personal cage during breaks.
Qualifications
Must be at least 21 years old
Authorization to work in the USA
High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Ability to lift at least 50 LBS, work outdoors, and being on foot for long periods of time
Must hold a valid driver license to operate a motor vehicle in Texas
No traffic moving violations in the last 24 Months
Pass a background check
Pass a practical exam, demonstrating proficiency in the vehicle inspection process
Vehicle maintenance or mechanical background (Preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) (Preferred)
Flexibility in schedule due to business needs
