This position is responsible for the Company's valuation process, including collaborating with investment analysts and third-party valuation specialists. Key responsibilities include reviewing valuation models, managing portfolio company data, coordinating deliverables, and implementing a valuation database. The Valuations Analyst will work closely with the Controller, VP Finance, and General Partners. This is a remote role that requires one monthly day/overnight trip to Southern CA.
Qualifications:
Undergraduate/graduate degree in accounting or finance
3-5 years of experience from public accounting/transaction services with PE or VC clients
Valuation exposure at a previous firm preferred
Responsibilities:
Manage quarterly valuation process
Prepare valuation memos and support for external audit firms
Collaborate with analysts on GAAP valuation of portfolio companies
Work with third-party valuation specialists to ensure completeness and accuracy of valuation models
Maintain portfolio company data
Implement a valuation database
Work closely with the Accounting team to ensure accurate valuations are recorded
