3+ years of experience as a UI/UX Designer with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills. Ability to create and maintain design system.
Knowledge in Accessibility (WCAG 2.0 and above) and ability to translate that into design.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma or similar.
Knowledge of user-centered design principles and usability best practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment.
Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, HCD, or a related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
Nice to Have Skills and Experience
Accessibility certification is a bonus.
Experience designing data driven dashboards and reporting.
Additional responsibilities include:
Work closely with both internal and customer stakeholders to keep UX/CX strategy aligned.
Translate user stories/requirements and feedback into user interface design.
Leverage design tools such as Figma to create visual design elements
Participate in agile development cycle to iterate visual design roadmap
Manage and maintain design backlog based on project priorities
Align closely with UX research team to enable close collaboration around
Travel occasionally to meet in-person with customer and internal teams
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Remote UI Designer on the west coast to join an incredible team leading a major public health technology initiative. This individual will be responsible for working closely with the UX/CX team to produce human-centered user interface design for a suite of highly visible products/applications. Working closely alongside a team of researchers and user experience designers, the UI Designer will take customer requirements and translate them into functional UI design patterns and wireframes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI design with an emphasis on accessibility and human-centered design.
Compensation:
Starting @ $50/hour
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
