User Experience (UX) Designer

The ideal candidate for this position has experience in visual design Must enjoy and have experience working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and translating them into wireframes, and design comps for the development team Must be flexible, able to work in a highly collaborative environment, juggle multiple tasks at once, and work independently and collaboratively as needed Must have superior interpersonal skills and strong communication skills 4+ years UX design experience working with complex web application development Solid familiarity and experience in Agile Methodology and Scrum ceremonies Experience with standard wireframing and UX tools, including previous experience with Adobe XD (Adobe Experience Design) Good grasp of user-centered design (UCD), planning and conducting user research, user testing, A/B testing, rapid prototyping, heuristic analysis, and usability and accessibility concerns Familiarity in usability and accessibility Ability to work with clients to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet client needs and vision Ability to clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, solutions to teams and clients, and be open to receiving feedback and constructive criticism Ability to pass public trust government clearance At least 3 referenceable projects with experience as a UX Designer Pre-employment background and credit check in addition to any applicable client clearance is necessary This person must also be able to pass a Public Trust background check/clearance required by the client This position is open to US-based candidates only Responsibilities Serve as a UX Designer as part of a dynamic team supporting our government client with an information-sharing mission Design content-rich web applications using the Agile development methodology Under minimal direction, perform as a UX Designer responsible for conceiving and conducting user research, interviews and translating them into sitemaps, user flows, customer journey maps, wireframes, design comps and prototypes The UX designer will also be expected to design the overall functionality of the product, and ensure a great user experience in accordance with usability, accessibility and compliance Support the implementation of the client's product vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experiences for a mission critical set of web applications Translate concepts into wireframes, user stories, user journeys, and mockups optimized for a wide range of devices and interfaces supporting responsive web design and intuitive user experiences Take a user-centered design approach and rapidly test and iterate visual designs Work as part of an integrated and collaborative Agile development team Actively participate in Scrum ceremonies, e.g., Sprint Planning, Grooming, Review and Retrospectives Company information ARETUM Holdings, LLC (ARETUM) is a leading government contracting company specializing in technology-enabled mission support services for the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, and Civilian agencies.
