US Payroll Specialist – Remote – US

We are hiring at Aspire Software for a US Payroll Specialist to join our growing team!

The ideal candidate lives in the US and will work from home. The employee must work from their legal place of residence.

What Your Day Will Look Like

  • Input, audit, and processes multiple payroll accounts for multiple subsidiaries of varying complexities; coordinate all incoming payroll data.
  • Respond to and resolves all incoming inquiries from stakeholders, while delivering the highest level of customer service within expected timelines. Serves as primary point of escalations and issues.
  • Partner and communicate effectively with HR, operations, and finance teams on the transition of payroll data and new payroll accounts.
  • Participate in year-end closing activities, external audits, tax audits as well as audits by social security institutions. Report and remit to multiple state authorities.
  • Ensure high-level of state and federal compliance. Provide regulation updates and legislative guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to streamlining payroll procedures and recommend process improvements.
  • Prepare and compile payroll reports as needed.
  • Lead and participate in special projects and ad-hoc activities.

About You

  • Minimum 3 years of US payroll experience required.
  • Knowledge of payroll tax and social security laws, state laws and labor laws required.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of payroll in other countries is an asset.
  • Paychex Flex knowledge is an asset.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organization skills.
  • Experience working with multiple payroll solutions and tools.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills with the ability to translate analytical findings into actionable solutions/processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, changing environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with team.
