RBC’s Office of the US CIO is responsible for the oversight of all technology supporting the firm’s Combined US Operations (CUSO). The CUSO includes Capital Markets, Wealth Management, City National Bank, RBC Bank (US), Global Asset Management, and Functions within the US.
This unique US IT Metrics Analytics role is accountable to the US CIO for the oversight of the US CIO IT Risk Management. This hands-on role is responsible for analyzing and driving remediation of technology risk challenges across multiple lines of business as well as regulatory and business-driven initiatives. Additionally, this role is accountable for ensuring consistency of execution assurance across technology programs supporting the CUSO, in terms of governance, risk management, and value realization.

This unique US IT Metrics Analytics role is accountable to the US CIO for the oversight of the US CIO IT Risk Management. This hands-on role is responsible for analyzing and driving remediation of technology risk challenges across multiple lines of business as well as regulatory and business-driven initiatives. Additionally, this role is accountable for ensuring consistency of execution assurance across technology programs supporting the CUSO, in terms of governance, risk management, and value realization.
What will you do?
- Strategic Leadership: Define and execute the roadmap for US IT metrics analytics aligning with the bank’s and legal entity specific requirements and OKRs.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Work closely with US IT stakeholders fostering a collaborative environment to ensure seamless development of key metrics and successful outcomes.
- Informed Decision Making: Define, monitor, and analyze US IT metrics to track and make data-driven informed recommendations to enhance outcomes.
- Actionable Insights: Develop mechanisms for reporting key learnings to stakeholders, tracking progress against goals, and providing insights for possible improvement.
- Sustainable Approach: Focus on ensuring appropriate metrics are used to provide effective early warning of risks to performance objectives and provide appropriate responses.
- Stakeholder Management: Provide comprehensive, in-depth and timely analytical support through risk remediation activities to relevant stakeholders and senior managers.
- Agility: Engage in various projects as required and support and prepare ad-hoc analysis as requested.
- People Management: Manage and actively coach junior staff to develop their capabilities to maintain a strong team.
Must Have
- 5-7 years of experience leading IT Risk analytics teams at the Management level
- High proficiency and a deep understanding of IT Risk metrics
- Extensive experience with setting the agenda, direction and strategy for development and enhancement of IT Risk metrics.
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks.
- Ability to distill complex topics and messages for senior management and board reporting.
- Highly collaborative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with Tableau and an eye for design
- Strong querying skills with SQL, high proficiency with Excel and pivot tables
