Vendor Note

Ideally, someone that comes from a construction background as project engineer/project manager and then moves to a large-scale company, etc. We need people that are champions in construction knowledge management, and they must have excellent personalities and comms. They must be SMEs with construction documentation and experience working with a construction company/builder.

Note

someone that is more of a program manager with construction / engineering experience preferred. The candidate should have the following qualities:

  • Agile, nimble, quick; needing to be able to adapt in an ever-changing environment
  • Strong PgM who is well-organized, good at documenting & follow through
  • Less about data manipulation, but more about communication
  • Element of being comfortable navigating complex spreadsheets; but not to model
  • Clear comms is very important & being able to document clear AIs in meetings
  • Write in a concise manner to cut through ambiguity

The Knowledge Management Senior Program Manager will partner with KM Manager, EB TPgM, and Automation TPgM to support a broad scope in solving problems and making things happen!

Work with stakeholders and TPM’s to fill the gaps and smooth the rough edges that limit execution of the business objectives and maximize the return on investment of the program and its smooth execution.

Role

  • Ability to define, organize, and lead program activities that lead to improved reuse of IP; what, who, when, and how
  • Scope, phase, and lead ambiguous cross-functional and cross-organizational challenges including delivering change management, alongside your stakeholder team
  • Proactively identify stakeholders considering end-to-end processes across a large organization.
  • Work with them to, plan, and prioritize objectives and success criteria, define business requirements, estimate task durations, and ensure schedules and dependencies are aligned and support KM objective and key result plans
  • Effectively monitor and communicate progress, risks, and mitigations of KM objectives and key results.
  • Champion program management methodologies for KM particular needs and successfully monitor and manage program tasks and stakeholders while adjusting program strategy to address complex changing circumstances across multiple functional areas
  • Sustain a “Continuous Improvement” approach including ability to solicit feedback, identify and present process improvements
  • Seek out and apply relevant best practices from other processes and technologies and industry standards for Knowledge Management
  • Advocate for your programs and ensure alignment of senior cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders managing escalations and unblock constraints and dependencies
  • Demonstrate advanced communication management skills, including writing and presentations, and represent the programs from business, product, and technical perspectives.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge to the degree required and be comfortable working with Technical Leaders, engineers and construction methodologies.
  • Independently work to support change roadmaps, implementing plans for programs including impact analysis
  • Proactively support programs requiring change management, monitor progress of change management rollout, and resolve misalignments
  • Ad-hoc administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling meetings, taking meeting minutes, sending calendar updates, assisting with expense reports, etc.

Minimum Qualifications And Experience

  • Have advanced planning and project management skills, break down programs and processes into components that could be executed by less senior team members.
  • Proven ability to communicate clearly, listen actively and share relevant information. Identify shared or conflicting goals and find ways to increase alignment to arrive at the best collective
  • outcome. Utilize advanced communication skills, including writing and presentations, and ability to represent programs from business, product, and technical perspectives.
  • Proven record of successfully implementing processes and procedures on major projects or programs, preferably in support of mission critical or critical infrastructure.
  • Have advanced relevant domain knowledge required to perform the job (e.g., Document Management, Change Management, Construction Doc Process, Release Management).
  • Excellent communication skills across multi-discipline / cross-functional stakeholders including executive management.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

  • Professional design or construction licensure: PE, P Eng, RA, CCM or equivalent
  • Professional design experience in consulting or technology
  • Familiarity with codes, specification and standards
  • Strong analytical skills with an ability to visually present data
