We are seeking a talented and experienced Urban Planning Consultant to join our team. As an Urban Planning Consultant, you will play a key role in shaping sustainable urban development projects and policies. Roles And Responsibilities
Urban Development Project Management:
Lead and manage urban planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements.
Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and environmental impact assessments for development proposals.
Community Engagement and Stakeholder Consultation:
Facilitate community workshops, public meetings, and stakeholder consultations to gather input and feedback on urban planning initiatives.
Foster inclusive decision-making processes and incorporate community aspirations into planning recommendations.
Policy Development and Land Use Planning:
Analyze zoning regulations, land use policies, and urban design guidelines to inform development proposals and planning strategies.
Develop comprehensive land use plans, master plans, and zoning ordinances that promote sustainable development and growth.
Transportation and Infrastructure Planning:
Collaborate with engineers, transportation planners, and architects to integrate transportation systems and infrastructure into urban plans.
Advocate for multi-modal transportation options, pedestrian-friendly design, and sustainable transportation solutions.
Environmental Sustainability and Resilience:
Incorporate principles of environmental sustainability, resilience, and climate adaptation into urban planning strategies and development projects.
Recommend green infrastructure, energy-efficient design, and conservation measures to mitigate environmental impacts.
Regulatory Compliance and Permitting:
Navigate regulatory processes, permitting requirements, and compliance standards related to urban planning and development.
Prepare planning reports, environmental assessments, and permit applications for regulatory review and approval.
Data Analysis and Spatial Modeling:
Utilize GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and other data analysis tools to conduct spatial analysis, demographic studies, and growth projections.
Interpret data to support evidence-based decision-making and planning recommendations.
