We are looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated person to fill the role of Urban Planner. The successful candidate will work within the dynamic and supportive Statutory Planning Team to facilitate the assessment and determination of planning applications
What You’ll Be Working On
The processing and assessment of planning applications.
Providing planning advice to the community, applicants, developers and other stakeholders.
Preparing submissions and representing Council before the Victorian and Civil Administrative Tribunal.
Participating in the implementation of the department's Continuous Improvement initiatives.
What You Need To Succeed
A tertiary qualification in statutory planning or a related discipline.
A sound understanding of statutory planning legislations, the planning framework and planning principles as they operate in Victoria.
A focus on providing exceptional customer service and confidence in dealing with customers via various modes, in a clear and pleasant manner.
Demonstrated ability to manage time and competing priorities.
