#### Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor (DE + LAPP/SAR) to join our dynamic team. This is a full-time remote position, offering a fantastic opportunity for those seeking a balance between work and personal life without compromising career growth.

Responsibilities

As a Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor, you will:

• Review and analyze loan applications and supporting documents to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
• Utilize your DE and LAPP/SAR certifications to endorse FHA and VA loans.
• Make informed decisions on loan approvals and denials based on thorough analysis and compliance with company policies and federal regulations.
• Provide detailed feedback to loan officers and processors to ensure a smooth mortgage process.
• Collaborate with the loan processing team to resolve any discrepancies or issues during the underwriting process.
• Stay updated on changes in policies and regulations that may impact underwriting.
• Assist in training and guiding junior underwriters and other team members.
• Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to the overall improvement of the underwriting process.
• Supervise a team of underwriters in your area.
  
  

Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a Mortgage Underwriting Supervisor.
• DE (Direct Endorsement) and LAPP/SAR certifications.
• Proficiency in underwriting FHA and VA loans.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage industry regulations and guidelines.
• Proven experience in reviewing and analyzing complex financial documents.
• Exceptional decision-making skills with the ability to make sound judgments under pressure.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively within a remote team.
• Experience in a supervisory or team lead role is highly advantageous.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Proficiency in using mortgage loan software and other related computer applications.
