As an Underwriter, you will play a key role in our team by:
Evaluating and deciding on new and renewal insurance applications: You'll assess applications to determine the best coverage options.
Determining pricing and terms: You'll set the pricing and terms for accepted applications, ensuring they meet our standards.
Responding to endorsement requests: You'll assist policyholders and agents with coverage questions and process endorsement requests.
Analyzing insurance applications: You'll review applications and endorsements for various coverages, using external resources for thorough investigations.
Collaborating with colleagues: You'll work with other departments and senior team members on complex risks.
Providing excellent customer service: You'll support our clients through phone and email communications.
Analyzing claims data: You'll make recommendations to improve our loss experience based on claims data analysis.
Participating in Loss Prevention activities: You'll take part in seminars, firm visits, and agency calls as needed.
Assisting with projects: You'll contribute to projects aimed at improving our departmental performance.
Staying informed: You'll keep up-to-date on market trends and competitor activities.
### Qualifications:
We Are Looking For Candidates With The Following
Bachelor's degree preferred: Candidates working towards their degree or with relevant experience will also be considered.
Experience: A minimum of two years in professional liability insurance is preferred.
Skills: Strong mathematical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Licensing: Must be licensed as a California Fire and Casualty Broker-Agent or willing to obtain the license.

### Salary Information:
The hiring range for this position is $53,100 to $96,200 per year. The base pay offered will take into account internal equity and may vary depending on your geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
