APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS:
The Applied Cognitive Science Lab is seeking a highly motivated student to assist with HCI research and development of applied data science applications. We are looking for a Research
Assistant to help with the UX design and development of the prototypes and assist with studies that evaluate their potential use cases in higher education. Work on modeling learning and problem solving is sometimes used, as well as deep domain knowledge in project areas.
Responsibilities include those associated with UX design and development, data collection and analysis (including simulation), testing, IRB document preparation, and the publication process including writing, proofreading, and preparing literature reviews.
Familiarity with web design technologies and Javascript, HTML, Ruby on Rails, R, Lisp, ACT-R, etc. are preferred. This position requires someone who can work both independently and on teams and who has outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
Applications will require a cover letter, resume, and up to two references.
Rate is based on experience, and ranges from $13.00 to 21.00.
