Job Summary: We are looking for a talented and experienced UI/UX Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UI/UX design and implementation, capable of creating visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to design, develop, and test user interfaces that enhance user experience and meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design graphic user interface elements such as menus, tabs, and widgets.
  • Develop the visual aesthetics of UI within websites and applications, including layout menus, drop-down options, colors, and fonts.
  • Customize interfaces to meet specific user needs and preferences.
  • Create storyboards to conceptualize designs and accurately convey project plans to clients and senior management.
  • Integrate interface design concepts with digital design and establish milestones to ensure timely project delivery and team cooperation.
  • Enhance user experience by developing intuitive and seamless navigation through various digital programs and interfaces.
  • Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.
  • Develop user personas, journey maps, and wireframes to guide the design process.
  • Create high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes to clearly demonstrate functionality and visual design.
  • Perform usability testing to gather user feedback and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze user feedback and activity to iterate and improve the overall user experience.
  • Identify and troubleshoot UX problems, such as application responsiveness and accessibility issues.
  • Utilize wireframe tools (e.g., AdobeXD, Figma) to build detailed mockups and prototypes.
  • Collaborate with developers to ensure the technical feasibility of designs and seamless integration with back-end systems.
  • Present and defend design decisions and iterations to stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Computer Science, Information Technology, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  • 5 years of experience in UI/UX design and implementation.
  • Experience with wireframe tools such as AdobeXD, Figma, or similar.
  • Familiarity with front-end technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with responsive design and mobile-first development.
  • Strong graphic design skills with a keen eye for aesthetics and detail.
  • Excellent understanding of user-centered design principles.
  • Ability to translate user requirements into interactive and visually appealing designs.
  • Proficiency in creating storyboards, mockups, and prototypes.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot UX issues.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Experience conducting user research and usability testing.

Compensation And Benefits

The projected compensation range for this position is $108,700 to $147,925 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
