A Bit About Us
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Turnaround Manager to join our scientific industry team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of our turnaround process to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role involves extensive collaboration with various departments, including maintenance, manufacturing, and quality control, to achieve the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The successful candidate will also be responsible for managing the budget, schedule, and execution of the turnaround process, ensuring that all requirements are met within the specified timeframe and budget.
The ideal candidate has experience understanding execution, cost, schedule. The planning time for these outages is 9 months versus 2 years. There are 2-3 outages per year and the Turnaround Manager is on each site for 30-45 days. The hours are 40 hours/week outside of outage dates. During the preparation for the outage, there is a 13 1 schedule but there is 20% additional compensation during this time. Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of the turnaround process, including planning, execution, and close out.
Collaborate closely with various departments, including maintenance, manufacturing, and quality control, to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
Manage the budget, schedule, and execution of the turnaround process, ensuring that all requirements are met within the specified timeframe and budget.
Implement and monitor safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of safety are maintained at all times.
Utilize SAP to manage and track the turnaround process, ensuring accurate and timely reporting of progress and results.
Identify potential issues or delays in the turnaround process and implement effective solutions to mitigate any impact on performance or efficiency.
Provide regular updates to senior management on the progress of the turnaround process, including any issues or challenges and the strategies implemented to address these.
Drive continuous improvement in the turnaround process, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing effective strategies to achieve these.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the scientific industry, with a proven track record of success in managing the turnaround process.
Strong knowledge of SAP, with the ability to effectively manage and track the turnaround process.
Extensive experience in managing the budget, schedule, and execution of the turnaround process, with a proven track record of delivering results within the specified timeframe and budget.
Strong understanding of the maintenance, manufacturing, and quality control processes within the scientific industry.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify potential issues or delays in the turnaround process and implement effective solutions.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to effectively lead and manage a team.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including senior management.
Strong commitment to safety, with a proven track record of implementing and monitoring safety protocols to ensure the highest standards of safety are maintained.
