Trial Defense Paralegal for Am Law 100 Firm in DTLA!

Job Description: Prominent law firm in Downtown Los Angeles seeks an experienced Trial Defense Paralegal to join their team. The ideal candidate has a background of 3-5+ years of experience in litigation with a preference in Insurance Defense, can maintain 1500+ billable hours annually, and has experience working with a pool of attorneys. Bachelor's Degree is required with paralegal certification strongly preferred.

Job Duties:

- Work with a pool of attorneys to prepare for trial by gathering/organizing trial binders, exhibit lists, expert lists, witness lists, bates stamping, etc.

- Summarize and categorize deposition transcripts, medical records, and others

- Conduct legal research, investigations, and case evaluations

- Draft various legal documents including notices, motions, briefs, subpoenas, discovery demands and responses, and pleadings

- Assist with document production and ediscovery with Relativity, kCura, etc.

- Communicate with outside vendors and other third party providers

- Assist with preparation for court appearances, pleadings, depositions

Candidate Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree required

- ABA-approved Paralegal certificate strongly preferred

- 3-5+ years of litigation experience required, with preference to Insurance Defense

- Must be able to maintain 1500+ billable hours annually
