Job Title: TREE ROOM EXPO / FOOD RUNNER
Reports To: Tree Room Manager/Supervisor
Rate of Pay: $13.00/Hour +tips
Shift: Variable PM shifts
Part-Time, Year Round position
MUST BE AVAILABLE WEEKENDS & HOLIDAYS
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt/Hourly
Summary
Create an exceptional dining experience for the guests by delivering quality food at the correct temperature to the appropriate guest. Expo must communicate with the Chef to coordinate all tables and timing of food.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Warmly greet each guest.
Call out and organize tickets for the kitchen.
Act as liaison between the service staff and the kitchen.
Ensure ticket time standard is met by effectively managing courses.
Communicate any food issues with the Chef.
Run food from the kitchen line to the tables.
Know the restaurant set up and seat numbers in order to properly deliver food.
Assist the servers and bussers as needed.
Responsible for setting up any items needed with food. i.e. napkins, steak knives, and more.
Deliver food, maintaining proper service sequence and a professional demeanor.
Responsible for making sure food is on time, at the correct table and hot or cold.
Assist in any other aspects of the restaurant as needed.
Maintain cleanliness and stock of Expo area.
Work clean and organized and in a timely fashion.
Ability to work well under pressure and multitask.
Work well independently and as an active member of the team.
Ability to work execute Tree Room standards and Forbes 4 star standards.
Support recycling program.
Complete side work and cleaning lists as directed.

All employees are invited to participate in environmental or Sundance Preserve sponsored events.

As representatives of Sundance all employees including mangers are expected to be in compliance with the Dress Code determined for his/her department as defined in the job description or follow the standards below.
Required
In order to best promote a positive, professional image that meets Sundance guest's expectations, employees are required to dress in a professional, conservative fashion that is appropriate for their area. Please use the following as a minimum standard:
All aspects of the Personal Appearance policy (SPL#50) must be in compliance.
Staff is required to wear nametags at all times while on duty.
Clothing must be unwrinkled, clean, and in good condition (no rips, tears, or frays regardless of whether accidental or fashionably placed).
Blue jeans are permitted if no standard uniform is required.
Men's shirts must be tucked in.
Appropriate skirt length is from the knee to the ankle- if no standard uniform is required.
A tailored fit is required of all clothing
Tank tops, halter tops, tube tops, and spaghetti straps are prohibited.
Sleeveless shirts are not permitted for females.
Bare midriffs are prohibited.
Proper footwear for your department is required.
Dress sandals are permitted for females.
Flip flops are prohibited in all areas.
Tennis shoes are prohibited unless there is a business need (ie: Mtn Ops)
No large jewelry.
Hair must be clean and combed. Long hair must be worn off the face.
Clean shaven or trimmed beard for men, no stubble.
Pants/shirts must be clean and pressed
Employees must be showered with clean teeth, fresh breath, clean hands and nails
Tree Room server standard uniform is... khaki pants, black small buckled belt, black dress shoes, black socks, Tree Room shirt, white under shirt, and black apron.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have or obtain a current food handlers permit within 30 days of employment.
Must have or obtain a current alcohol service permit within 30 days of employment.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
