Treasury Liquidity Analyst

Banesco USA is seeking a Treasury Liquidity Analyst for our Treasury Team.

Primary Job Duties

• Monitor, analyze and forecast the bank’s daily liquidity position, considering factors like deposits fluctuations, loans disbursements, investments settlements, and other fluctuations.
• Develop and maintain liquidity risk models to assess potential shortfalls and surpluses.
• Manage the 90-days liquidity forecast of the bank and communicate and implement a comprehensive plan to maintain adequate operational liquidity as to avoid operational disruption.
• Evaluate and participate in stress testing models’ development to ensure the bank’s preparedness for challenging market conditions.
• Prepare insightful reports and presentations to communicate complex liquidity data to senior management.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like Risk Management, Business lines, and Loans Operations.
• Assist in preparing for periodic audits and stay abreast of regulatory requirements concerning liquidity to ensure adherence to approved controls, policies, and procedures.
• Actively evaluate funding alternatives to optimize wholesale cost of funds and avoid risks.
• Support the Treasurer and Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO).
• Responsible for completing annual training program assigned.
• Performs other functions and/or duties as assigned.
  
  
  

Job Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or similar field is preferred.
• Experience: two (2) or more years of experience in Banking, Financial Services, or analytical role.
• Knowledgeable about financial markets/instruments and how to mitigate relevant financial risk.
• Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools (Advanced Excel and Bloomberg).
• Understanding of financial markets, economic principles, relevant Treasury functions, policies, guidelines, and reporting.
• Excellent communication, written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information concisely.
• Able to thrive in a collaborative work environment and effectively communicate complex financial concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, with the ability to identify and manage risks proactively.
• Excellent time management and the capacity to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment are crucial.
• A meticulous attention to detail and strong work ethic are necessary for ensuring data accuracy and report quality.
• Advanced computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).
• Must be fluent in English. Proficiency in Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to work independently under minimum supervision and being a proactive learner.
