Diptyque- Luxury Fragrance House has established itself as one of the most renowned, leading fragrance houses within the luxury market today. Founded in 1961, the Maison is known for its mix of iconic scented candles, personal fragrances, bath and body products, and home décor. Its flagship boutique is in Paris’ 5th arrondissement at 34 Boulevard Saint Germain.


Diptyque is seeking an experienced and dynamic Travel Retail and Corporate Sales Manager who is bilingual in English and Spanish to oversee and drive the growth of our travel retail and corporate sales channels. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a deep understanding of the travel retail market, and strong relationships within the industry. This role will be pivotal in expanding our brand presence and increasing revenue through strategic partnerships and innovative sales strategies.


This role will develop counter teams with multiple retailer locations (DFS, DFA, AVOLTA etc) in different airports and duty-free location throughout the Americas, while building strong relations and team spirit across the business with each store management. As a key Brand Ambassador, this role will ensure our brands positioning as a luxury brand by providing high levels of clients’ satisfaction through excellent service.


Main responsibilities/Duties

Travel Retail Sales:

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to maximize sales and profitability in the travel retail sector.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including airport authorities, travel retail operators, and duty-free partners.
  • Identify new business opportunities and negotiate contracts to expand Diptyque’s presence in travel retail locations globally.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to inform sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to create and execute compelling promotional campaigns and events tailored to the travel retail market.
  • Personally contribute to achievement of sales (retailer sell out) budget in each location by being present in store, leading by example, selling and coaching teams to meet/exceed sell-out targets.
  • Hold strategy meetings in all doors with local store management to identify and prioritize the main sales opportunities of the season : retailers events, incentives, outreach opportunities, brand new product launches, local events etc.
  • Deliver sales KPIs for the counter in partnership with the store team - these KPIs will focus on sales, but also depending on the retailers capability; it could be CRM & repeat client business, AUS, UPT, etc.
  • Hire, onboard, train and coach sales employees assigned to our brands in partnership with local retailer management
  • Coach and train sales employees in Travel Retail in order to ensure continuity in customer service and when there is no brand assigned employee


Corporate Sales:

  • Identify and target potential corporate clients to drive sales growth in the corporate sector
  • Develop customized sales proposals and presentations to secure corporate accounts and partnerships
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, ensuring exceptional service and satisfaction for new and existing customers
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely delivery and execution of corporate orders and special projects
  • Partner with Retail Store teams as needed for execution of corporate sales
  • Track sales performance and provide regular reports and insights to senior management


General:

  • Manage budgets, forecasts, and financial targets for both travel retail and corporate sales channels.
  • Lead and mentor a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements in all sales activities.
  • Contribute to daily/weekly/monthly business analysis and reporting.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in travel retail sales
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Strong network of contacts within the travel retail and corporate sectors.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively as required.
  • Bi-lingual – English and Spanish
