We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Transportation Engineering Consultant to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Transportation Engineering Consultant, you will play a key role in planning, designing, and managing transportation infrastructure projects. This role requires expertise in transportation engineering principles, traffic analysis, and project management to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions.
Roles And Responsibilities
Project Planning and Design:
Lead or contribute to transportation infrastructure projects, including roadways, highways, bridges, transit systems, and airports.
Develop conceptual and detailed designs, specifications, and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, MicroStation).
Traffic Analysis and Modeling:
Conduct traffic impact studies, capacity analysis, and traffic flow simulations to optimize transportation system performance.
Utilize transportation modeling software (e.g., VISSIM, Synchro) to analyze traffic patterns and propose mitigation measures.
Environmental Assessment and Compliance:
Evaluate environmental impacts associated with transportation projects and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., NEPA, CEQA).
Recommend sustainable transportation solutions and mitigation strategies to minimize environmental impact.
Stakeholder Engagement and Public Outreach:
Engage with stakeholders, including government agencies, communities, and private sector clients, to gather input and address concerns.
Facilitate public meetings, workshops, and presentations to communicate project goals, benefits, and impacts.
Project Management and Coordination:
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and resources effectively.
Coordinate interdisciplinary teams of engineers, planners, designers, and contractors to achieve project milestones and deliverables.
Technical Consultation and Advisory Services:
Provide expert advice on transportation engineering standards, guidelines, and best practices.
Assist clients in identifying project needs, setting objectives, and defining performance metrics.
Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
Ensure quality control and adherence to engineering standards and specifications throughout the project lifecycle.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.
