Operate transit bus in town and rural areas. Provide assistance to disabled passengers. Complete bus inspections, operates various equipment associated with bus and passengers. Performs dispatching at various times. Cleans and provides light maintenance for buses.
Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma, or the equivalent;
Valid MN Class C Driver's License (CDL) with passenger endorsements or ability to obtain within 21 days of employment. (Transit bus provided to take CDL Driving Exam)
Negative pre-employment drug test (continue to be subject to drug testing per Federal CDL laws)
Examples of Duties
Operate transit bus in town and rural areas
Assist individuals on and off bus as needed, or requested by passenger.
Operation of bus equipment including, but not limited to, the wheelchair lift, two-way radios, tablets, fire extinguishers, etc...
Hours
12 to 28 hours per week depending on need
Compensation And Benefits
The compensation range for this position is $20.51 - $28.25 per hour, depending on experience. This position is eligible for a wide range of competitive benefits, including state pension plan, vacation time, sick time, personal and holiday leave time in accordance with their specific union contract.
