Description

Principal Job Duties:

  • Design, develop, and deliver comprehensive employee training programs utilizing various formats such as e-learning and virtual classrooms.
  • Conduct training needs assessments to identify gaps and recommend appropriate training solutions.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create engaging and interactive training materials, including manuals, guides, videos, and presentations.
  • Implement and manage Learning Management Systems (LMS) to track and report on training progress and effectiveness.
  • Facilitate live virtual training sessions and workshops, ensuring participant engagement and comprehension.
  • Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in training and development.
  • Provide ongoing support and coaching to employees and reinforce learning and development.
  • Collaborate with People Operations and other departments to align training programs with company goals and objectives.

Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to sit, stand and walk. This position may be required to sit, stand or walk for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. Education requirements can be substituted with a minimum of 2-3 years of Property Manager experience in the self storage industry.
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in training and development, preferably in a remote or virtual environment.
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning principles, instructional design, e-learning development tools, and Office 365 suite.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training technologies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create engaging and effective training materials using multimedia tools.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • High degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
  • Familiarity with the latest trends and best practices in remote training and development.

Preferred Skills:

  • Certification in training and development (e.g., CPTD, ATD).
  • Experience with SCORM creation tools, video editing, and graphic design software.
  • Knowledge of SSM, StoreCast, and other property management software.

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
