Training Manager

Sodexo is seeking a Training Manager 1 to join the Sodexo food service team supporting 10 Medstar Hospital locations in the Baltimore/Washington DC metro. This position supports Sodexo's mission by providing training for all systems and compliance education with priority training highlighting Service Spirit, CARES, Serv Safe, Allergens and Nutrition, Physical Safety, Customer Service, and Diversity for food services front-line staff working for the hospital. This position will partner with the Human Resources team to support recruiting and onboarding operations. The candidate must live in the region.

The typical schedule for this position is Monday-Friday 7am-5pm (varies based on business needs)

The successful candidate will:

• collaborate with the GM in organizing and conducting new hire onboarding and employee orientation;
• deliver annual training for existing staff as well as educational programs in connection with management for promotional development;
• maintain records of training activities and the progress of each trainee;
• develop and maintain employee relationships by interacting regularly with departments;
• develop strategic plans;
• create a positive environment; and/or
• ensure Sodexo standards are met.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• fluent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and SharePoint;
• detailed oriented, flexible, and have the ability to manage multiple priorities; and

Qualifications & Requirements

Basic Education Requirement - Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

Basic Management Experience - 3 years

Basic Functional Experience - 3 years in training
