ABOUT THE EXPERIENCE

Created within and on park & forest grounds, this is an immersive lighting & sound experience geared towards a specific fan-base of all ages. This beloved IP experience begins at dusk and runs every (15)-minutes through the evening hours. From concept to creative, this event includes stylized photo opportunities, themed food & drink, and an opportunity to peruse merchandise in a large-scale retail tent.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Trail Supervisor role will assist the Site Supervisor in their duties and responsibilities in managing the technical, logistical, and site related aspects of the event, always ensuring world class delivery and exceptional customer service.

Based in Leesburg, VA, the Trail Supervisor will work with the Site Supervisor and report directly to them. The Trail Supervisor will assist in leading all departments installing and tearing down the show, and will assist with liaising with the production and management teams on site and ensuring that the site and venue are show ready during the operations phase. They will also be prepared to help manage any incidents, unplanned works and other situations as they arise and must be able to follow procedures set out by the US Producers and Production Partners.

LOCATION

  • Pre-Production / Load In Phase - Remote/on-site training, and beginning full time on site work during the load in period on October 16, 2024
  • Operational Phase – Working onsite as needed to maintain the site and support operations. The event opens October 26, 2024 and closes around the end of January 2025.
  • Load Out / Post-Production Phase - On site for part of the load-out period in early February

REMUNERATION

$300/day or based on experience

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assisting the Site Supervisor in all of their duties and responsibilities during the load in, load out, and operational phases.
  • Take the lead in site and trail management during the events themselves, and be responsible each night for ensuring the trail is safe and ready for guests.
  • Work with the Event Manager and Event Supervisor to go through a daily pre-show and post-show checklist.
  • Coordinate with all technical departments to maintain the physical and technical elements of the event including, but not limited to: lighting, audio, video, power, props, local labor, security, etc.
  • Implement and follow safety procedures and guidelines when dealing with incidents on site and confirm all crew are appropriately certified, etc.
  • Assist with control of the site in the event of adverse weather conditions- ensuring all wind management and safety plans are adhered to
  • Implementation of The Event Safety Management Plans as needed during the events
  • Crew welfare- ensure shift patterns are running smoothly & breaks are implemented.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have experience in using Google Drive and the Google suite of applications including Sheets, Word, Google Meetings.
  • Previous experience working on large outdoor festivals, Illumination trails or outdoor experiential events.
  • At least 3 years of previous relevant experience in a related industry.
  • Ability to deal with stressful situations in a calm and professional manner.
  • Comfortable working in a constantly changing environment.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Current First-Aid certification is a plus.
