Tractor Trailer Operator (Truck Spotter)

2nd shift (2:30pm-10:30pm)

General Summary

This position is responsible for moving trailers to and from the dock doors for loading and unloading of freight.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Performs daily inspection of tractor which includes monitoring and adding fuel and fluids as needed. Reports any minor or major repair needed in order to keep the truck in good operating condition.

Coordinate the movement of trailers with the shipping supervisor to ensure the correct sequence at the correct dock door.

Driver will work on the shipping dock loading freight or operating forklift when the trailer movement work load is complete.

Most of job functions are performed outside, therefore this employee is exposed to all elements throughout the year.

Experience Required

Must be qualified to operate a tractor-trailer unit as an over-the-road driver in compliance with Department of Transportation Regulations, CDL-A License

Must be able to drive manual and automatic transmissions.

Salary range will be $20.97 / hour to $23.14 / hour

Education Required

High School diploma or GED
