Perform forensic toxicology investigations and analysis on a diverse array of matters, including those involving PFOS, PFAS and other contaminants
Source identification of PCBs, PAHs, PFASs, organic and inorganic pesticides, heavy metals, and metalloids
Determine the timing, sources, and mechanisms of contaminant releases and identify other potential sources of contamination
Conduct toxicology analysis on cases involving PFOS, PFAS and various chemical and biological exposures
Perform in depth pathway/network analysis on data derived from toxicology and other studies
Extensive document review, analysis and interpretation
Conduct unbiased investigations for various clients
Provide technical findings and conclusions in laymen's terms, both verbally and in written reports
Support conclusions by appropriate testimony in legal proceedings.
Deliver professional presentations, develop client relationships and promote self to client groups
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
Position Requirements
Ph.D. or M.P.H. in Public Health, Epidemiology, Toxicology, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Biochemistry, or related field is required
Minimum of seven years of post-academic experience, specifically evaluating PFAS and PFOS in water
Knowledge, training, or education in mathematics, epidemiology, chemistry, biostatistics, and/or risk assessment is preferred
Exceptional written and verbal communication
Experience interacting with pharmaceutical regulatory agencies is a plus
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects
Strong commitment to professional development
Strong writing and public speaking skills
