Tooling Design Engineer

Job Description

JET Technologies, a multi-faceted corporation focused on plastic CNC fabrication and Thermoforming / Vacuum Forming, located in Elkhart, IN has an immediate need to fill an open position for a Tooling Design Engineer

Requirements

v Previous experience in Vac Form Tool design and fixture design is preferred

v Experience With Solidworks Is Preferred

v Project management experience is preferred

v Ability to determine critical features and end use of fixtures by working with the mold shop, manufacturing and sales team

v Review and understand prints

v Multi-task and perform under deadline driven environment

v Self-starter with the ability to work independently and within a team environment

v Excellent written and verbal communication skills

v Organizational and problem-solving skills

v Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word

Essential Functions

v Design tools under direction of Tooling Manager

v Design fixtures under direction of Tooling Manager

v Work with and support Mold Maker to problem solve issues

v Supply correct tool numbers to Mold Maker

v Perform monthly inventory of mold shop supplies
