MOLD MAKER - PLASTICS INJECTION MOLDING

Our client is seeking a skilled Mold Maker to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to join a family-owned Injection Molder where people stick around more than twice as long as your average company.

The Mold Maker constructs plastic injection molds to produce high-quality components. This role is for you if you possess strong experience in tool building, CNC, EDM, and CAM Programming and is adept with manual machining and precision instruments.

DUTIES:

• Build new Injection Mold tooling from provided CAD and drawings to meet customer demands.
• Work with Engineering Department on design requirements.
• Replace and repair all worn out tooling components.
• Design and provide modifications to existing tooling.
• Assist in efficiently organizing, coordinating, and maintaining Tool Room equipment, molds, and tooling.
• Perform as a critical member of our cost reduction teams and modify tooling to improve processing.
• Operate within budgeted costing parameters and provide input on quoting and cost variances.
• Complete projects based on desired timelines.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 4+ years of Tool and Die experience for injection molding, extrusion, stamping, or similar (Injection Molding Preferred)
• Experienced with CNC and wire EDM experience required.
• Proficient with manual machine shop equipment such as mills, grinders, lathes, drill press, etc.
• Journeyman Tool & Die License preferred, but not required.
