At Lake House Academy, we transcend the conventional residential treatment model. Lake House Academy is located in Flat Rock, NC and was founded in 2010 as an independent school. Lake House Academy joined Embark Behavioral Health in the Summer of 2018. Currently, Lake House has a maximum capacity of 20 students. Lake House achieves emotional and behavioral regulation through acceptance, safety, nurture, playfulness and connective experiences to restore trust and heal relationships. We are nestled in the beautiful woods of Flat Rock on Madonna Lake; our serene and homey campus is an ideal therapeutic setting. At LHA, everything we do is to create a shared experience of secure attachment through Milieu therapy, Experiential Interventions, Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, and Neuro Therapies.

Individual Sessions Conduct individual therapeutic sessions with students to address and explore their unique needs, challenges, and emotional well-being.

Family Sessions Facilitate family therapy sessions involving students and their parents to foster open communication, resolve family dynamics, and promote healing.

Group Therapy Leadership Lead specialized group therapy sessions, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment among students, encouraging personal growth and interpersonal skills.

Interdisciplinary Treatment Planning Participate in weekly interdisciplinary treatment planning meetings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop comprehensive and individualized treatment plans for students.

Clinical Meetings and Supervision Engage in regular clinical meetings and supervision sessions, contributing to ongoing professional development, sharing insights, and receiving guidance.

Documentation and Charting Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of therapeutic sessions and student progress, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Family Weekend Involvement Actively participate in family weekends, offering therapeutic support to families, and contributing to the overall healing process.

• Minimum master's Degree in Behavioral Sciences - Social Work (MSW,) Clinical Social Work (CSW,) Clinical Mental Counseling (CMHC), Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or a related discipline.
• Licensed or ability to be licensed in state of North Carolina
• Preferred -Two years of working experience as a licensed therapist leading individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Preferred - One year of experience in a residential setting using relational, experiential, and systemic modalities.
• Ability to plan, implement, and adjust a course of treatment as required.
• Ability to pass a state background check.
• A desire to facilitate client growth through a team approach, working with other care providers.
• A desire to perform and develop counseling/therapeutic expertise in individual, family, and group therapy.
