Terminal Manager

Circle Logistics was named in Transport Topics Top 50 Freight Brokerages for the second year in a row. We pride ourselves on 'No Fail' service, with a combination of assets, a closely held team of carrier partners and a successful third party logistics network. We're still growing and looking for experienced and knowledgeable professionals to join our team. We're seeking a seasoned professional with either an Owner-Operator following, and/or a loyal customer base of business.

Job Responsibilities:

• Recruit and develop relationships with carriers and independent operators
• Effectively manage terminal/branch operations
• Collaborate internally on pricing strategy, account implementation plans
• Execution of new account processes and continual process improvement
• Resolve transportation problems with urgency and professionalism
• Properly qualify carriers assignment to meet all customer requirements
• Communicate effectively with all carriers, customers and other Circle team members
• Communicate load details upon booking, as well as any changes made after booking to assigned driver
• Escalate issues to properly in accordance with Circle Logistics Escalation Policy
• Relay load updates internally to the proper parties (Operations Representatives, Account Managers and Client Strategy Managers as required)
• Actively work on same day freight bringing competitive options to customers team
• Take responsibility of critical loads/critical customers

Required Experience & Skills:

• A well developed professional network of small to medium size Carriers/Owner Operators
• An established track record of positive interaction with owner operators
• 5+ years of experience in logistics/transportation with focus on carrier development
• 5+ years of experience with progressive professional growth
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience/relevant professional qualification
• Freight brokerage or account management experience desired
• Transportation experience in dispatch and/or operations required
• Detail oriented with the ability to maintain a positive attitude towards team members, customers and carrier partners
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Knowledge of electronic transportation platforms and software
• Knowledge of DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations
• Willing to be available after hours and weekends, as needed
• Excellent problem-solving and time management skills
• Familiarity with and access to shippers with volume moving from N.KY & S.OH north to MI and N.OH a plus
