Responsibilities
The Department of Economics has an opening for a full time, non-tenure track faculty, starting September 2024. This is a one-year position with the possibility of renewal pending performance review and university funding.
We are particularly interested in candidates that can teach introductory courses in economics and analytics as well as more advanced undergraduate and graduate courses. All fields will be considered.
Responsibilities include teaching nine (quarter) classes per academic year (face-to-face and online modality) for both undergraduate and graduate students, holding office hours, and participating in general department activities.
DePaul University is the largest Catholic university in the nation. The Economics Department offers undergraduate degrees in the College of Liberal Arts as well as the Driehaus School of Business. The department’s graduate programs include a quantitative Master of Science in Economics and an MBA concentration in Business Strategy.
Required Qualifications
A PhD in economics is preferred and industry experience is a plus.
DePaul seeks candidates with demonstrated cultural competencies to include teaching, service and research in diverse learning communities.
