Tenure Track Assistant Professor-Finance

The Department of Finance at Seton Hall University has a tenure-track opening starting fall 2024 at the Assistant Professor level.


Duties And Responsibilities


  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in finance, with a focus on financial technology and investments.
  • Engage actively in research that leads to publications in highly regarded finance journals
  • Support program development in Financial Technology & Analytics
  • Provide service to the university and professional community


Required Qualifications


The successful candidate should have a Ph.D. in Finance, Computer Science, or related quantitative fields from a reputable university, demonstrate a proven record of, or potential for, high-quality research and teaching, and have the ability to interact effectively with students, faculty, and the finance community. ABDs who are on track to complete their Ph.D. by August 2024 are also encouraged to apply.


Desired Qualifications


Candidates with specializations in financial technology and investments are preferred. Preference will be given to candidates who have strong computer programming proficiency.
