Tennis Coach
Job Description
Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding job coaching tennis and/or pickleball? USA Sport Group Tennis Coaches will be responsible for working with children aged 3 to 14, however, the majority of our programs are for children aged 10 and under at beginner and intermediate levels. In many instances, this will be the child's first experience playing the sport. Depending on your skillset and coaching background, you may also have the opportunity to work on our advanced programs, adult programs, or private lessons. Additionally, as a Pickleball Coach, you will be responsible for delivering fun and engaging Pickleball sessions to groups of adults 18+ who in many instances are new to the sport. In many instances, this will be the first-time participants are playing the sport. Coaches are responsible for teaching rules, techniques, tactics and match play. You will need to be able to deliver a confident, well-structured Pickleball lesson to all abilities.
You should have a background in tennis, in some capacity, and a positive, upbeat personality that can inspire participants. The FALL season starts mid-September, running through mid-November. Candidates must be willing to commit to the entire season of classes with sessions typically taking place on Saturday mornings and/or midweek evenings, in blocks of 2 to 3 hours. Successful hires will be provided with comprehensive paid training, along with a complete uniform, equipment, and curriculum necessary for the role.
You will be required to attend a Virtual Introductory Hiring Presentation beginning in mid-July, where you can learn more about USA Sport Group and the coaching opportunities available, from the comfort of your own home! Following the presentation, all candidates will be required to attend a practical in-person hiring event to gain approval to coach with us which will take place in August.

- Previous coaching or teaching experience (preferred)
- A fun and bubbly personality to engage children
- Desire to learn and to improve as a coach
- Passion for working with infants and young children
- Enthusiastic about sports and teaching basic skills to beginners
- Ability to relate and communicate with children, parents, and co-workers
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Weekend availability
