FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full power broadcast television stations in the U.S. These include stations located in 14 of the top 15 largest designated market areas, or DMAs, and duopolies in 11 DMAs, including the three largest DMAs (New York, Los Angeles and Chicago). Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network. In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week. These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network’s national content.
Job Description
WTXF Fox 29 seeks an experienced Stage Manager/Floor Director to assist with the production of a Fox First Run program. This temporary position begins in August and lasts through December. Candidates must exhibit proven expertise in Stage Management and Floor Direction during live or live-to-tape broadcasts. Familiarity with operating lighting boards and adeptness in the placement of wireless microphones is necessary. Additionally, the candidate will provide timely updated information to on-air talent and issue accurate timing cues to maintain the program's schedule. Additional duties may be assigned as needed. Prospective candidates need to have availability Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with the possibility for extra hours on Fridays. An Associate's Degree (A.A.) from a two-year college or technical school is advantageous, and at least 2 years of experience as a Stage Manager is required.
