Compensation

$22.00-25.00 per hour

Summary

The purpose of this position is dedicated to truck carriers & cargo shippers to ensure timely shipments movement for inbound and outbound operations while maximizing dedicated truck capacity while aligning with Glovis standards and Hyundai Translead's expectations.

Responsibilities

  • Follow SOP/KPI guidelines to ensure timely dedication of carrier capacity for both inbound and outbound operations.
    • Conduct and follow thorough all aspects of dispatching process including communicating internally and externally for coordination
    • Support Manager to troubleshoot any issues related to Dedicated Truck/Dispatch operations
    • Daily communication with carriers and cargo shipping/vendors
    • Produce periodic KPI reports and monitor performance
    • Responding to customer complaints and be solution provider for MQ operations
    • Plan pre-determined routes and maximize carrier capacity
    • Monitor communication with all related parties to ensure timely transportation movements
    • Coordinate daily/weekly/monthly workload to each responsible carrier
    • Maintain proper records to track to track and trace movement data (document productivity
    • Manage carriers to minimize in-transit damages and reduce usage of more expensive carriers
  • Analyze and identify opportunities to save freight costs in the supply chain process
    • Support with all data reconciliation and proprietary systems such as TMS
    • Support MQ's 3PL/REPO Coordination with carrier assigned
    • Shipment data entry and report generation
  • Perform internal functions to assist other departments in order to review and resolve discrepancies and fulfill customer needs including POD auditing, profit and loss reporting, and perform root cause analysis and establish corrective actions in order to avoid repetitive occurrences
    • Recommend and implement strategies to continually improve department performance

Qualifications

Skills

  • Proficient PC Skills, and High Level of Proficiency in Excel Required
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills Required
  • Strong Verbal and communication skills Required
  • Dispatch Operation Experience Required

Education & Experience

  • High School Degree Required/ Bachelor Degree Preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain Required
  • 5-7 years of experience in Logistics, Freight Forwarding or Supply Chain Preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit in front of a desk and/or in front of the computer for long periods
