Job Details

We are seeking a driven and passionate Service Desk Manager to lead the efforts around platform services incident response.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the Service Desk, ensuring that platform issues are addressed and resolved
  • Mapping service issues/bugs to the correct Engineering teams
  • Lead the team in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving platform incidents
  • Interface with Executive Leadership to get buy in on strategies and improvements within service management
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and improve performance.
  • Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and develop strategies for prevention.
  • Coordinate with Software Engineering and DevOps teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex platform issues.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Service Desk Manager role or similar.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL principles and practices. ITIL Certification is a plus!
  • Must have understanding of platform architecture to effectively map issues to the correct engineering teams.
  • Experience managing small IT teams
  • Experience with Jira (JSM)
  • Experienced with Datadog or Splunk is a plus
  • Knowledge of scripting and automation techniques using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar will be a plus.
