Position Title: Technology Consulting Sales Leader and Co-Founder for Start-Up

Role Overview: Come join a collection of experienced and successful technology executives in building a new tech consulting business. The three Co-Founders that you would be joining have extensive software experience in the fintech domain. This includes long tenures in one of the major U.S. core processors. The lead technology Co-Founder for the start-up most recently had responsibility for all new technology as the solutions architect for a core processor. He has more than 20 years in US based technical leadership & domain experience in Digital and Core Banking. One of the Co-Founders is a former NYC based investment banker and has extensive experience in admin, finance, accounting and fundraising. The third Co-Founder is a highly experienced data engineering enterprise architect.

The strategy for our start-up is to create a consulting practice built around Data Engineering. We are creating solutions for financial institutions and insurance companies that do not have the in-house capability to orchestrate their internal data using the latest software tools. Our prospective clients need assistance in using tools such as Kafka, Kubernetes, and Debizium to connect the company’s disparate data sources which would allow the client company to have real time access to all of their data and use in-house or off the shelf software to manage their businesses effectively. Our technical Co-Founders are highly proficient in Data Bricks, Power Apps and Power BI.

Our three year strategy is to service 10-12 clients over the next 2 years by executing on 4-6 month projects for each client to build internal data connectivity in existing on-prem and cloud data solutions using the software tools described above. The objective for these projects is to build new solutions using the tools and train the client’s internal staff to maintain the solutions by the end of the project. As we gain experience in use cases for various financial institutions and insurance clients, we plan to embark on a software development plan that can duplicate what we learned to build.

With existing staff and a couple assistants that we have already identified, we believe that we can execute 4-6 consulting engagements yielding $2-$2.5m in first year revenues. We can easily scale up with additional staff if we meet the demand that we expect.

As a Co-Founder Technology Consulting Sales Executive (“Sales Leader”), you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by leveraging your expertise in technology solutions, financial services, and data-driven strategies. Your primary responsibility will be to engage with clients, understand their needs, and recommend tailored technology solutions that align with their business objectives. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to deliver exceptional value to our clients.

The optimal background for the candidate:

1.    10 plus years in SaaS and/or consulting sales to financial institutions and/or insurance companies.

2.    Established sales leader that can attract consulting business initially and evolve along with the company’s growth into sales manager responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing.

3.    The other Co-Founders have extensive experience in creating and delivering technology solutions as well as finance and administration. The Sales Leader position will fill a significant gap in the company’s management team.

4.    Entrepreneurial background with record of successful growth in fintech marketplace.

5.    Existing contact base in community banks and credit unions in the $100m to $25b asset category.

We are looking for a senior sales professional who is looking for an opportunity to join a cutting-edge start-up based on delivery of the latest tools to companies that have a keen need for sophisticated data engineering projects. As we are a start-up, the compensation will initially be 100% commission based and as the company grows, a more typical base salary and commission plan will be implemented.  Of course, significant ownership of this company would be part of the compensation package.
