Our client is a leading global project management and cost consulting firm, specializing in delivering comprehensive services across various sectors, including real estate, construction, and infrastructure
They are seeking 3-5 freelancers for technical writing and editing projects to support the launch of their new internal knowledge base/playbook. The primary responsibilities will include reviewing existing technical documents, and editing for consistency, voice, spelling, grammar, and formatting. Additionally, they will be tasked with reviewing and editing document templates, primarily in Word and some in Excel, for branding and formatting consistency. There may also be opportunities for creating new templates from provided PDFs or other references.
Responsibilities:
Review existing technical writing for consistency, voice, spelling, grammar, etc.
Edit technical documents to ensure clarity and coherence.
Review and edit document templates for branding and formatting consistency.
Collaborate with the project management team to ensure alignment with project objectives.
Possibly create new templates from provided PDFs or other go-bys.
Meet project deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Requirements:
Proven experience in technical writing and editing.
Familiarity with professional services/consulting and/or construction management concepts such as solicitations, meeting minutes, budget tracking, etc.
Strong attention to detail and excellent grammar and spelling skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a remote team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Real estate/design/construction background preferred but not required.
Ability to commit to a full-time workload (40 hours/week) for the duration of the project.
Bay Area location preferred but not required.
Compensation:
$40-65/hr (W2/Non-Exempt)
