The Technical Trainer will specialize in training customers on the operation and application of test equipment for PCB testing. Depending on experience and background this can be either an entry level trainer position or someone with 3-5 years in a similar position.
Some of the Responsibilities of the Technical Trainer include:
Conduct training sessions for customers on the programming, operation, and setup of test equipment used for PCB testing.
Develop and maintain training materials specifically tailored to equipment, including manuals, presentations, and hands-on exercises.
When not training will provide email, phone support and/or service ticketing support for basic customer troubleshooting inquiries.
Collaborate closely with product development and engineering teams to stay updated on enhancements and new features of systems.
Continuously assess and improve training programs for systems based on customer feedback and industry trends.
Travel to customer sites as needed to deliver onsite training and support, focusing on the effective use of technology.
Ability to write technical documentation clearly such as training agenda’s, presentations, and test equipment operation procedures.
Some of the Qualifications/Requirements of the Technical Trainer include:
Education: Technical degree in electronics, electrical, or equivalent
0-4 years of experience
Occasional tradeshow attendance
Ability to travel domestically up to 60% of the time
Ability to interpret schematics and component datasheets and have a basic understanding of electrical testing as well as PCB design.
Proficient in MS Office products (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts
